“This photo was taken in a small town in Zhejiang, China, known for its lotus pond. My mother, aware of my passion for photographing flowers, took me there. I was drawn to the tranquil and somewhat decaying beauty of the lotus, reflecting on its symbolic meanings of strength, resilience, rebirth, and purity. Despite not being in full bloom, I found the lotus at this life stage intriguing and wanted to highlight the beauty in every phase of life.
