“This image and many others from this particular project were born out of that collaborative process, we were playing with some interpretations of both light refractions and distortion of objects through glass.  There were some references to Matisse and simply a concept of the feeling that the viewpoint was from ‘outside’ looking in.  Some other options featured rain and condensation and this one explored the distortion of the mottled glass and really gave this beautiful painterly effect.” Matt Russell
